2nd Cycle of Accutane complete

Dylan finished his second cycle of Accutane on Sunday, still no real bad side effects, just some leg pain and cracked lips. He had a HAMA blood test done on Monday and we should get the results tomorrow. He has not needed any blood or platelet transfusions for weeks now which is great, but his platelets are still very low, just not low enough for a transfusion. His hair is coming back very quickly now, and his hearing aids arrived on Monday as well. He is not thrilled about wearing the hearing aids, so we are taking it slow, short amounts of time during schooling. It will take some time to get use to, as things sound different and there is a bit of static, not to mention the feeling of having things in your ears. The weather has been very wet and miserable here…April showers bring May flowers they say! Saturday we did go to the International car show with the RMDH, but since then we have just stayed in the house and only ventured out to the hospital. Saturday is Thomas’s birthday so we will head to Long Island for the party. Tim is busily packing the house to put our things in storage and hopefully the house will be officially on the market by the end of the month. There are still a few things to do before it is ready and it seems to take forever! We are only asking for enough money to pay what we owe to the bank, so hopefully a buyer will purchase to house quickly. When I left Australia almost 2 ½ years ago, I never realized it would be the last time I would ever be in my house…but it’s a small sacrifice to still have Dylan in my life, and I have no regrets at all.
