Alyssa's Party

Sorry for my delay in updating, I had some computer issues again but thanks to Team Continuum, they are resolved. Dylan is doing great, no transfusions so far, and he is not neutropenic. His platelets have dropped but not low enough to require a transfusion just yet. On Saturday we had a fantastic time for Alyssa's 19th birthday party! Skye and I ran he bar, while the guests enjoyed food, music and dancing. At 8pm Dylan sand "She will be loved" to Alyssa as she sat there enjoying every word. Next Sky sang to her also. Alyssa had a fantastic time and so did everyone who celebrated with her. I have added photos of the night to the gallery. On Tuesday Dylan had his special education assessment and hopefully things should all be in place by the beginning of the school year in September. After his assessment, we had a short visit from Jim and Sophia, it was great to catch up with them again. Then Dylan headed to art class at 12pm until 3pm and will go back again for a full day tomorrow. Ready for some awesome news? Tim is coming to New York next month and will be here for a month while Dylan has his chemotherapy. In Australia we have a paid leave called "long service leave" this means that if you are with the same employer for 10 years, you get 3 months vacation with pay! Tim will take a month of that leave, and then the rest at Christmas time. Thanks to "Green Triangle Forest Products" who funded Tim's airfare. Cain will stay at home for this visit because we all decided that with Dylan likely to be unwell during this time having chemo, that it will be very upsetting for Cain. It is also likely that Dylan will be hospitalized at some stage during this period also. There are a couple of fund raising events coming up in Australia for Dylan's medical costs, but due to my computer issues I have been unable to post them on the fund raising page. Here is a quick note until I can get it displayed.
