Almost time to say goodbye to daddy & Cain

There was not as much snow fall as expected last week because frozen rain fell shortly after and it washed most of the snow away. It was challenging to walk to clinic as the sidewalk was very slippery. We spent the weekend at Long Island with the Maynards. Dylan, Cain and Thomas had lots of fun playing together. Dylan was having a bath last night and Thomas wandered in, then I heard Thomas ask Dylan why he had a bandaid on his chest. Dylan promptly explained all about his mediport, even detailing that mediports use to be made of metal but that the one he had was made of plastic under his skin. It’s amazing how much he knows, then again I guess he spends more time in clinic than the average child spends in a classroom. We want to send a huge thank you message to Outer Limits 4x4 who have continued to support and follow Dylan's Campaign for a long time now and are still raising money for Dylan's medical costs. Also thank you to the person who donated the Beatles photo, and those who have made bids, that auction is still open and can be viewed at EBAY for further details. Dylan has clinic tomorrow for Cetuximab and Irinotecan, which will continue for the rest of the week. We are anxiously awaiting the 3F8 hot antibody trial due to open next month at MSKCC. Dylan is still doing great, full of energy and eating like crazy. We are all feeling a little anxious about Tim and Cain’s up coming departure, but we are so grateful for the time we have had together. At least with Dylan doing so well at the moment, it makes it a little easier for them to say goodbye, knowing he is in the best state of health he has ever been in since diagnosis.
