MIBG scan results

Dylan and I had a good weekend. We joined the Ronald McDonald House for a trip to the Circus on Sunday, at Madison Square Gardens. Dylan had his first cycle of round 4 Cetuximab this morning and is now sleeping off the Benadryl. I spoke with Hazen’s mum and Nadisha’s mum, who told me they are also waiting the hot antibody treatment in June. All of today’s blood tests show that his counts are great and even his potassium is good. His magnesium is a little low, but not to the point where he needs an infusion. Dylan has 2 days of art class this week and we will return to clinic for a check up on Friday. I now have the official report from last Wednesday’s MIBG scan, see below.

FINDINGS:
Again noted are foci of abnormal radiotracer activity in the skull, right anterior rib, left supraclavicular region, multiple vertebrae in the thoracic and lumbar spine, pelvis and femora.

Overall there is minor interval decreased in tracer activity in the majority of the lesions, more evident in the right anterior rib, a lumbar vertebra and left posterior femur.

The previously seen tracer uptake in the left posterior upper chest is not clearly visualized on the current study.

There is no definitive evidence of new lesions.

IMPRESSION: Siemens January 2006:
1. Minor interval decrease in tracer activity in the majority of previously seen lesion as described above.
2. The previously seen tracer activity in the left posterior upper chest is not clearly visualized on the current study.
3. No definitive evidence of new lesions.
